Effimera is a geolocated, ephemeral social layer. You leave a Geoemoji where you are: it lives about two hours, then it fades. But whoever passes nearby can find it, gather around it, donate it time — and keep it alive together with you. No profiles, no feed: only moments over the real city, and the people who choose not to let them go out.

A map that breathes
The city you know is made of people, not addresses. Effimera draws it as a living page: every mark someone leaves is a real moment, struck where they stand and with only a couple of hours ahead of it.
On the map, marks appear where people are right now. Others nearby find them, gather around them, donate them time to keep them lit — and when no one saves them, they fade, making room for the next. No profiles to curate, no endless walls: only the city breathing in real time.

The Geoemoji, struck into a Gettone
The base unit of Effimera is the Geoemoji: a mark you leave on the map. It takes shape as a Gettone — a coin of pressed metal, struck with an emoji. You set it down where you are, and from that moment it begins to live: it starts with two hours ahead of it and stays there, open to whoever finds it.
